Pochoir voorbeelden

Pochoirdruk is een sjabloon of stencil-achtige techniek dat vooral in de art Deco periode populair werd. Voor deze techniek maakt men gebruik van zinkplaten. De kleurafscheiding wordt voor elke kleur handmatig  uit de zinkplaat geknipt. Een voor een worden de kleuren met de kwast aangebracht. Men gebruikte hiervoor plakkaatverf of gouache. Gouache is verf waarbij krijt is toegevoegd. De verf ligt er als het ware dik bovenop. Dit ontwerp  (Frans van origine) zal worden gebruikt als omslag voor een menukaart. Deze menukaart uit 1937 werd gebruikt in Hotel  'De Witte Brug'. Dit hotel werd geopend op 7 juli 1891 aan de Badhuisweg in Scheveningen. Na  een aantal verbouwingen  wordt dit alom bekende hotel in 1995 afgebroken om plaats te maken voor nieuwbouw. 

Pochoir printing is a stencil-like technique that became particularly popular during the Art Deco period. This technique uses zinc plates. The color separation for each color is manually cut out of the zinc plate. The colors are applied one by one with a brush. Poster paint or gouache was used for this. Gouache is paint with chalk added. The paint is applied thickly, as it were. This design (French in origin) was used as the cover for a menu. This 1937 menu was used in Hotel 'De Witte Brug'. This hotel opened on July 7, 1891, on Badhuisweg in Scheveningen. After several renovations, this well-known hotel was demolished in 1995 to make way for new construction.
